Although much has been written about innovation, its practical application is less well understood. For example, many organizations start their quest for innovation with Ideation rather than Intent. They also frequently over look the application of the Investigation phase. These missteps lead to a focus on process rather than progress which can create churning and eventual dissolution and abandonment of the quest. Over the years, imstrat has found that a little knowledge goes a long way in helping organizations get a quick start along the right path and to bring them back when they start to go astray. All our educational programs and interventions are built around our 7I proprietary approach we refer to as "Innovation at work". We see ourselves as "Pracademics"; academically trained with a firm grounding in innovation theory but an even firmer grounding in the practical application of its principles. When you work with ISI, you will only deal with people who are dedicated to helping our clients get better business results by approaching innovation as a tool rather than an end in itself. We work at all levels of the organization from the engineer at the bench who needs a broader understanding of business so that he thinks of value creation not just invention, to the middle level managers and innovators who are in the best position to see how to do things better faster, and cheaper, and to the senior executives who are ultimately responsible for the architecture in the organization that must be in place to support innovation
.
Our quick start program is for clients who are new to innovation and want a quick and inexpensive primer to get them off to a good start. In this program which typically runs a 1/2 to 1 day, we expose the audience to fundamentals of innovation including the best practices of others.
